We provide service, maintenance, and repairs to all makes and models of ducted and ductless heat pumps and Air exchangers (HRV/ERV). This includes systems that we did not sell or install.

Annual Service- Heat Pumps

Other than the homeowner checking and cleaning filters on the indoor head on a regular basis, the annual service is one of the most important services that we perform. We recommend that an annual service be performed on your heat pump. This service is a preventative service where our technicians can identify/correct any potential issues before they become an expensive repair. During the annual service our technicians will perform the following,

- Clean the filters

- Check and clean the drain pan on the indoor unit. Ensure no blockage in the drain hose

- Check the blower wheel to ensure it is moving freely without restriction

- Check all connections to make sure all connections are secure

- Check all amp/voltage draws

- Check pressures to ensure there are no leaks

- Change batteries in the remote

Annual Service - HRV/ERV

This preventative maintenance service provides a full health check and cleaning of the HRV/ERV. During this service, the technician will check all motors and dampers to ensure they are working correctly. The filters and core is removed, the filters and housing cleaned. The control and any timers are checked to ensure they are functional. The intake and the exhaust hoods on the outside are cleaned. If the home, condo, or apartments has fire dampers, these are checked to ensure they are still open and free of debris.

Deep Cleaning:

Our deep cleaning service is recommended every 2-3 years. Every home is different so the frequency of the cleaning can be determined when the annual service is performed. This service includes an annual service and the cleaning of the indoor head and outdoor condenser housing.

Deep Cleaning is important as the indoor unit produces condensation when in AC or Dehumidification/Dry modes. This condensation does have the potential to form mold and collect dust within the coil. Mold can cause serious respiratory health issues. A clogged coil and blower wheel can cause performance issues and costly repairs.

When a deep cleaning is performed, the indoor head is taken apart, sensitive electronics are covered, a funneling bib is used around the head to ensure all water is contained and funneled into a pail for disposal. The technician will spray the coil and housing with detergent, let the detergent set for a couple of minutes, and then usea low pressure spray system to remove the residual detergent, dust, dirt, other debris, and any mold. After cleaning has been completed, the unit is wiped dry and turned on to fan mode to finish drying of the coil and areas that cannot be reached by hand.
